Making a Memory
Since my granddaughter (who is now 8) was old enough to "copy" something, I taught her to rub in a kiss....if it was one she received on the cheek or on the lips (from parents and grandparents only!), to "make a memory". She loves doing it, and still does it to this day. Not only for "special" kisses, for ALL kisses! I personally think it helps her recognize that making "memories" of ALL the loving contacts in her life is something we should all do. No matter what she's doing, when she's kissed, she "rubs it in" and makes a "memory"......doesn't miss a beat! I just love seeing such an endearing (and I hope life enriching) gesture take place.
